Position Summary
Bio-Pharma Searches is seeking a Director, Investor Relations (D/IR), reporting to the Head of IR and supervising the Sr. Manager, Investor Relations. In this role, the Director, Investor relations will work directly with the head of IR, and senior executives including the CEO and CFO to develop our investor relations strategy. In addition, the Director, IR will be responsible for managing many external relationships with the investment community.
The Director, Investor Relations will personally:
- Develop and implement strategic IR plans directed at helping the Company to achieve maximum long-term value.
- An understanding of the company’s strategy, operations, clinical development, and financial performance is required
- Represent our organization at industry conferences and medical meetings with senior executives
- Interact with the investment community on behalf of the company
- Develop key IR materials in collaboration with senior leadership and cross-functional colleagues including senior leadership in preparation of analyst events, presentations, earnings releases and other public disclosures
- Take a lead role in the development, preparation, and execution of all investor-related materials including investor presentations and conference call scripts.
- Organize, prepare for and execute road shows, investor days, investor conferences and meetings both domestically and internationally
- Provide review and commentary on SEC documents
Qualifications
- 10+ years’ experience in investor relations within biotech/pharmaceuticals. Successful track record of interfacing with senior management. Candidates outside of the life sciences industry will not be accepted.
- Successful track record of interfacing with senior management
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, both oral and written
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise judgment and discretion
- Ability to demonstrate initiative and independence in carrying out multiple tasks, as well as strong critical thinking and problem solving skill
- Ability to work well with all levels of employees and demonstrate strong teaming and partnering skills
- Attention to detail and the ability to meet the changing demands of a new, growing department and organization is critical
- Ability to demonstrate initiative and independence in carrying out multiple tasks.
- Available to travel approximately 20-25% of the time
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Advanced degree in life sciences or finance including Ph.D., M.D., MBA, CPA, or CFA is preferred
